Responsibilities:
This is a working supervisory nursing position, which encompeasses planning, directing, supervising, motivating, training, evaluating, and hiring, disciplining subordinate employees.
This employee supervises the nursing personnel at the three clinical sites.
Work is performed independently in accordance with State DOH rules & Regulations, and the Lake County Health Department policies, procedures, and standing medical orders.
Acts as liaison between staff and other administrative or consultant personnel and LCHD departments, and the community.
Responsible for communicating with and motivating nursing personnel, clients, and populations in the community.
This position is responsible for securing information sets for the purpose of protecting confidentiality, data integrity, and appropriate access for all information, both confidential and public record, which is stored in hard copy or electronic format.
This position will be responsible for monitoring the I&E Family Planning Committee documentation,audits, and submission to the Family Planning Division in Tallahassee.
Supervises and evaluates nursing staff in carrying out all activities in the three clinical sites to assure prevention of diseases, early detection of health problems, and the promotion of health.
Reviews daily activities to assess workloads.
Makes weekly and/or monthly schedules of work and assignment of staff; studies staffing patterns; makes recommendations for the best utilization of staff.
Works closely with the Community Health Department Director of Nursing and other program managers in planning, promoting, and coordinating clinical services.
Communicates by oral and written reports of special activities and required reports to the Community Health Department Director of Nursing.
This position will be responsible for monitoring the I&E Family Planning Committee documentation, reports, and audits.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
As per class specs.
BS degree preferred.
At least 3-5 years' experience in immunizations, family planning, primary care, STI's, and supervisory experience preferred.
Computer skills required.
Qualifications:
Minimum - Willing to work before, during and/or beyond normal work hours in the event of an emergency.
